FAQs

Who should attend the convening?

Given the capacity of our venue, we are initially asking each GPC member to send one attendee to the conference - this could be your CEO or a senior leader who can speak to multiple aspects of your organization and business model. If space allows, we will open registration up to a second attendee. The attendee list will be available later in May.

What is the cost to attend the convening?

The convening will be free of charge, and a scholarship fund will be available for travel and accommodations for organizations who would otherwise not be able to attend. If you are interested in applying for scholarship funds, please complete the registration form and select the appropriate box and Kelly will reach out with more information.

When should I arrive in Chicago and where should I stay?

We recommend arriving in Chicago the evening of Monday, June 9 and departing with a flight that takes off no earlier than 6pm CST on Wednesday, June 11. The convening will take place at Impact House, located at 200 W Madison in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood. Some nearby hotels include La Quinta, Hyatt Centric, and the Allegro Royal Sonesta, among many other options. Downtown Chicago is easily accessible via public transit from both major airports - Midway and O’Hare.

How should I prepare for the convening?

We are also asking all attendees along with other key leaders at member organizations to complete this priority survey. (We suggest no more than 3-4 submissions per organization.) The survey gathers feedback about a variety of challenges and opportunities facing the giving platform sector, and the outcomes of the survey will help inform programming at the convening as will as priorities for GPC in the years ahead.
